Top 5: Favourite Covid Purchases! 1

During this time of craziness we are calling Covid many people have been going mad with online purchases or just buying stuff in general! The shops have been full ( post isolation) with people buying stuff and online purchases have sky rocketed.

Now generally speaking I am not a big shopper. Shopping for me is always done with intention and thought because I hate wasting money on ‘stuff’… I would rather save it for experiences and travel!

During Iso I found myself thinking about what we needed for future travels and researched for a while before finally buying these five purchases, that I love!

Kathmandu Fleece Pullover

The Ridge Fleece Pullover is one of my favourite jumpers from Kathmandu. I have one already and the kids have one each and they have lasted very well considering we have had them for quiet a few years now. I love how they made out of recycled plastic bottles and are so light weight while being warm at the same time. So while I was scrolling the website while in isolation, I noticed that they were on special for $40 ( with free postage!) so jumped at spending my gift voucher I had received for Christmas on it! This time got the dark blue and I have worn it so much already!

Price at publishing: $69.99 ( Kathmandu Club price) always wait for sales for the best deals at Kathmandu!

Wanderer Tourer 4 x4 mat

I bought the Wanderer Tourer Extreme 4×4 mat in a double size after we converted the back of our van. At first we used an air bed but I quickly discovered that it wasn’t going to work with two kids sleeping on it with me. The Wanderer air bed is self inflating which is so handy for quick set ups and doesn’t move around while others are moving in their sleep. It is bulky (I’m used to things being compact!) but I’m coming to terms with that. Oh and I used a gift card for BCF to help purchase it – my friends know me too well!

Price at publishing: $143.99 ( BCF Club price)

Coleman Hammock

According to the kids the Coleman Hammock has been my best purchase! It is permanently in the car now ready for anytime they can string it between two trees. It fits both kids in it and every so often I get to relax in it! We are loving it so much that I’m planning on buying another.

Price on Publishing: $44.99

Kathmandu Kids Thermals

My youngest daughter was in dire need of new thermals and I happened (again!) to be online off the Kathmandu sites when I came across these Kids Thermals discounted for $10 a piece! Such a great bargain for quality thermals so off course I bought them – with my birthday gift card that Kathmandu sent me! She has worn them once already and will give them a work out during our ski trip.

Pirce at publishing: $10 ( on clearance at Kathmandu)

Apple MacBook Air

My biggest (and most expensive!) purchase during Covid has been my MacBook Air, something I have been wanting for a while. I saved my money and went and purchased it right in the middle of Isolation when nothing else was open except for JB HiFi. I know so people don’t really like MacBooks but I have been loving mine especially to edit our YouTube videos and use it nearly everyday.

Price at Publishing $1439 ( on special JB Hi Fi)

So there it is… my Covid purchases, some being bought with gift cards while others I saved up for.

Anyway have you been making any purchases during the last couple of months? What has been your favourite?

Safe Travels

Kathnandu must love you!!! LOL. I think I need to go there and buy my dad his fathers day gift this year. Looking for a good backpack/day pack for his many hiking adventures. One that doubles as on-board luggage for (hopeful – damned Covid) overseas trips.
