This weekend we went to the Aberdeen Highland games, and saw a lot on men (and a dog!) in kilts!
Oh, and there was also highland dancing, a tug o war competition, novelty races and alot of food and merchandise stalls.
But none of them involved men (or a dog) in a kilt!
Where: Aberdeen, NSW, Australia
When: First Saturday in July
How much?: Tickets are cheaper online we paid $15 each (concession)
Need to know: It gets cold (especially if you stay overnight!) so bring your winter woolies, parking is free, there is lots of food stalls but lines were long, opening parade starts at 9am, closing at 4pm. There is plenty to see throughout the day and a great day out!
Where we stayed: Camping is available onsite, no power but does have access to toilets and a shower. We payed $25 and you could stay for as long as you wanted ie: Friday, Saturday night. There is also accommodation at Aberdeen and nearby Muswelbrook if you prefer.
