Its something we all do to a point, and it can be a killer.<\/p>\n
I thought I had outgrown it.<\/p>\n
I thought that I had moved on.<\/p>\n
I thought that I didn’t compare myself to others.<\/p>\n
I thought that it didn’t matter to me what others had, what others did or how others looked.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But when you are a single mum… its not always as easy as that.<\/p>\n
I might not think I compare my life to my friends, my family members or complete strangers.<\/p>\n
But try as I might<\/p>\n
I do compare myself….<\/p>\n
Am I a good parent?<\/p>\n
Am I providing enough for my kids?<\/p>\n
Am I making the right decisions?<\/p>\n
Am I a fun \/ fair \/ happy mum?<\/p>\n
Do the kids love me as much as I love them?<\/p>\n
These thoughts are sometimes consuming.<\/p>\n
But the one thing that makes the kids and I happy<\/p>\n
One thing I trust I am doing right is…<\/p>\n
Making traveling a priority in our lives.<\/p>\n
Spending time together in the outdoors, exploring what our beautiful world has to offer.<\/p>\n
and forming lasting bonds.<\/p>\n
Whatever the future brings to our crazy somewhat topsy turvy life<\/p>\n
I have to trust that this is at least one good decision I am making for my family.<\/p>\n
