During the week two of the older girls came up with the idea to travel to Sydney on the train taking advantage of “Sunday Funday” ($2.50each travel on all NSW transport for the entire day!) and without any set plans, wander around the city and see what they could find.
Well with no plans of my own for Sunday I decided to jump on board and tag along with the same idea, no specific plans just seeing how far the younger kids and I could travel on $2.50 each and what we could experience.
From Central station we split up, meeting back later in the day at the same spot to share our experiences with each other! With so much to see in Sydney it was no surprise that we all had different stories to tell!
Check out the photos from the day!
Jay’s, Ivy’s and My day!
and here’s Jasmine and Laura’s day!
So that was our day!
We all had a cheap, interesting and exhausting day!
What is your favourite, cheap place to visit and explore in Sydney?
Safe Travels!

Some days the best days are ones which started with no plans at all! Looks like such a lovely way to get around and just see what you can find!
Absolutely! We had a great time just walking, exploring and seeing what we could find. Planning on some more days like this in the future!
Sunday certainly looks like Fun Day!! So much to do. So much to see!
It was an awesome day!!! We all had fun in our own way!
I’ve been to Sydney twice, but never with my children. I would love to take them next time as there are so many things to do as a family.
There sure is! And a lot are quest cheap or even free too! Thanks for you comment!
Sounds like you guys had had a great day out! A good deal on public transportation is a good motivation to have some adventures!
Yes the train deal is to good to resist! We will definitely do this more often and go to a lot more places!
I love following along with your trips on Instagram. Your family is a bunch of adventurers!
Thank you Lecy, I love following you too! We try to get out and see as much of Australia as we can, even if it is only two hours away from us!
Looks like such a fun day! I’d love to visit Sydney one day but it will be a very long trip for me!
hello! Australia has so much to explore and see! But you are right, it is a long trip from Canada!
I have always dreamed of visiting Australia. Someday! Looks like everyone had a great day and lots of fun. The pedaling for a charge is genius too.
