Harrington Discovery Holiday Park: A Review 4

We loved our stay at Harrington Discovery Holiday Park and this is why!…

A few months ago I booked a stay at Harrington Discovery Holiday Park, on a special deal that they had going on, unfortunately I had to cancel at the last moment… but…. the wonderful person at the campsite was so generous and let me use the deposit I paid towards another time!…. and a couple of weekends ago we took the opportunity to head up there for the night! … the kids (and me) loved it!

Why did we love it!?! because the Harrington Discovery Holiday park is so kids friendly!.

Upon entering the boom gates we were impressed by an amazing pool area which includes two pools, a slide and an awesome splash area which would be an absolute draw card for families during the warmer weather. (too cold for our visit unfortunately!). The pool is not the only reason to visit. The Harrington Discovery Holiday Park offers so much more for the kids…. the ever popular Jumping pillows, playgrounds, a special under fives area, table tennis and a nine hole put put golf area which are all included in your camping fees. ( During the holidays there is also a special designated kids club area!) But if you asked my little ones what their favourite part was they would reply the peddle carts! Whenever the kids have asked to have a turn on one of these I have always declined their request ( I know… terrible mum!!) but our hosts were so generous and upgraded the ride hire for the kids… I couldn’t say no! They loved it, and because the park was so quiet they could ride anywhere they wanted without getting in other campers way. I must admit I had a turn as well… what a work out for the legs!

Of course the campground has so many other features that the kids didn’t even notice because they were having so much fun.

The camp kitchen has an awesome set up with everything you need, fridges, microwaves, stove tops, kettles, toasters, some kitchen equipment / cutlery, sinks and washing up accessories, all in an enclosed room. The BBQ’s were clean and worked well as well as having a “clean up” kit so you can clean up after you are finished cooking your sausages! The park also provides an area which has a TV and reading space as has WIFI. ( which I found worked well, but my eldest struggled with…) The bathroom were also clean and had awesome hot showers and I did notice that they do have a family room and bath for the little ones.

Another great feature was how close the park is to the lagoon, within minutes the kids could paddle in the water of the lagoon, that is when I could get them away from the great activities within the park! and a walk along the break wall to catch the sunset was a wonderful way to finish our day.

Our stay at the Harrington Discovery Holiday park was great for our family, with so much to entertain the kids we could have stayed longer!

Where: Harrington Discovery Holiday Park, 50 Crowdy Road, Harrington New South Wales 2427
